The Vietnam Confederation of Trade and Industry (VCCI) held a ceremony on April 11 in Hanoi to announce the Annual Report of the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) in 2022.
The 2022 PCI report is based on feedback from 11,872 enterprises operating in Vietnam, including 10,590 private enterprises and 1,282 FDI enterprises.
According to the announcement ceremony's organizing committee, the PCI survey has been completed by 176,496 businesses since its inception in 2005.
According to the announced results, Quang Ninh is the leading province in PCI, with 72.95 points out of a possible 100, thanks to numerous initiatives to attract investment and administrative reform.
Bac Giang province ranked second with 72.80 points, an improvement of 29 places and 8.06 points over 2021.
Hai Phong finished third with 70.76 points, one place lower than PCI in 2021.
Cao Bang, with 59.58 points, remained the lowest-ranked locality.
