Attending the meeting were Mr. Dang Ngoc Huy, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and representatives of functional departments of the province.

Reportedly, by 6 o'clock on January 29, 2021, the whole country had recorded 9 new cases, bringing the total number of positive cases of coronavirus nationwide to 1,651 cases, 35 deaths and 1,430 cured cases.

According to the National Steering Committee for the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic, this outbreak, especially the outbreak in Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province and Van Don Airport, is more complicated and more serious than the previous one. This is the first time in one day that Vietnam recorded 99 new cases.

Facing this situation, the province has re-activated 64 road control checking posts in order to control the number of people entering and leaving the province.

The health system and localities in the province are maximizing their alertness to the epidemic. All cases returning from the epidemic area must have medical declaration and be quarantined according to regulations.

In order to promptly detect the epidemiological factor and control the disease well, the Provincial Center for Disease Control requested the Provincial People's Committee to promptly activate the Covid-19 prevention groups at community and isolated establishments in districts, towns and city; proactively detect and immediately isolate people returning from the epidemic area; allocate funds to purchase medical supplies, etc.

Addressing at the meeting, Mr. Dang Ngoc Huy - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee directed sectors and localities to raise their sense of responsibility in implementing epidemic prevention and control work; pay special attention to propaganda for people to implement the 5K message of the health sector, especially strictly complying with wearing masks in public, especially at health facilities; localities in the province have to implement the epidemic prevention and control measures at the highest level; quickly focus on repairing, ensuring conditions at the province's concentrated isolation facilities in case the number of isolation people increases.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Vo Phien - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee asked all units to promote propaganda work, raise awareness of people about epidemic prevention and control in the new situation, well implement the 5K message.

The Health sector must review and prepare enough chemicals, bio-products for testing, and equipment for epidemic prevention; carry out testing all suspected cases to early detect. In addition, the traceability must be done strongly because the spread of the new virus strain is very fast.
